Saw this while browsing through Trade Me

I didn't even know that these existed, perhaps one of those 'japan only' models. Looks pretty cool with the twin cans.
Not sure that there's much of a market for them over here though, particularly with our licence laws.

Yep these 400's were for the Japanese domestic market where there is an insurance/licence incentive for under-400cc bikes. This is why they have been making 400cc versions of many bikes for the local market. Can't see the point in the sleeved SV650 other than that. Aside from the power drop, it should be a good little bike otherwise.

$5900 for a 400cc twin?, why would anyone bother?
