Hi all,
I'm working towards organising a 2 stroke sports bike meetup.
I've already started on a TZR specific forum and I am speaking to a couple of friends directly offline.
The rough idea is:
I'm planning in advance for the end of winter as my bike will be pretty well sorted by then, but could manage a ride in the next few weeks too.
I'm in Wellington and thinking of maybe a lap of the Wairarapa and then over to Wanganui then home, or maybe a ride to the Manfield circuit (it's lots of fun on a 250 2 stroke), but I'm open to ideas too.
All 2 strokes are welcome, but ideally I'm looking for 125, 250, 500 and whatever else you've got in the sports or semi-sports styles.
Personally I ride a 1994 Yamaha TZR250 3XV, one of my friends has an RG500 and I'm tracking down some others with 250's.
This is not going to be a race on public roads, so if you're looking for a group ride for hooligan antics, then it might be best to reconsider. Obviously how other people ride isn't my responsibility or under my control, but my general attitude is I do not want to see any accidents, so I'd prefer people take a safer approach and if we were to ride to a track - so please save the craziness for that environment.
Anyway - let me know if you're genuinely interested and we'll go from there :)

Regards and happy riding :)

PS: my bike's changed a bit from the attached photo, but you'll get the idea :)
