Well. after the wife going away for the weekend (-with the car :oi-grr: ) and finding this web site  .
Bert went out to the shed to find something to do.
buried deep in the shed with a thousand other unfinished projects and old toys; was the old bucket racer that i stoped worring/thinking about in the 90's. Simple! should be able to get this going in a weekend !!
arrgggh no!!!
but 2 months later the sweet sound of a two stroke is now pissing off everone around us. :woohoo:
All i have to do is get club membership and race licence.
see you all soon

They make a good bucket. I milled away the back of the motor to fix it into the frame rather than changing the shock setup (-incase i wanted to go 50 racing)
If i can get my race licence this week I'm keen but if not then i'll head over to the bay to do some testing,
do they still do day licences ? would there be anyone from the club (at the hutt) on sunday for club membership ?

for all the old school bucket racers - the bike used to be bright green with a fill fairing #5.

i picked it up from a bike shop 10 years ago so not really sure what its off. a couple of simple mods and it fitted the bucket quite nicely.
as for the vic club form there is nothing for a racing licence on it. So once you have your membership (sent it away 1.5 weeks ago ) does the club send out the licence forms ??

There's a bucket race this sunday, 10:00 am start, $25 entry non members (i'm pretty sure) at the Waipawa (ahem) track. Its not a very high quality track but suitable to get out there and have a go on.

Cheers speights bud
well i still making up my mind where i should go and shame myself. i haven't really had the bike running more then down my driveway (30 meters), so not sure if I resolved the electrical and fuel issues. so waipawa might be a go. but keen to get down to wellington as well - due to just moving away from welly.

Well hopefully i should see you there. As for worrying about the bike not being at its best, thats what Waipawa is good for. Get on the track there get things going and head to windy Wellington for a decent track surface.

Did you end up finding a motor for your new bike ???
I've found a KH100 rotary induction motor sitting in a box. looks like it needs some work I'll bring it over if i come.
