Hi All,
Somebody must know the answer to this:
Apart from the F3 (95-98) CBR 600 Front when not having the mechanical Speedo Drive the F2 (1991-94) has, are there any other differences between the two?
I realise the F3 has bigger Discs (Floating), but surely the Disc Mounts on the rim are the same?
Basically I want to know if I can get an F3 Rim, fit F2 discs to it and run it on the F2 Race bike.... No need for a Speedo in any case....
Cheers

Shouldn't you be working on that dog slow motor in the bike instead

Ummm, it's faster than yours.......
I seriously thought somebody had gone in real hard when I saw the smoke signals yours left!
Anyhow, Na allthe power in the world won't mean squat if I have slick tyres on a wet track.... No rims available in NZ apparently, so looking at F3 rims off Ebay.

Discs I don't think would be a problem, but I think the mounts for the calipers on the forks are different. I looked into it with my f2/f3 build I did. The F3 Rotors are slightly larger which to me would make it difficult to use the f2 calipers. This linky (http://www.fireblades.org/forums/honda-cbr-600/9004-improving-f2-brakes.html) has some info in the reverse, and mentions a kit that you can get to use f3 rotors on an f2.

Sweet. Cheers for the answer and info.
Really I just want to make sure the wheels take the same axle and also are the same width....
That said, I guess I have the technology to machine spacers if need be.... Just want to keep it all simple though.

Burnt the last of that oil out of the pipes today actually. Seems to go pretty good now.
