Hi Everyone, Early this morning a White YZF250 was stolen off the back of my friends ute in Ohakune (down there for desert storm)
Filthy scum cut all the locks and took off with it.
Bike is a 2006 Yamaha YZF250 with white plastics kit and graphics kit. Pro Circuit rear pipe.
Please keep an eye out anyone traveling to or from that area over the next few days.

Hey mate, sorry to hear about the bike. We had two bikes stolen in kune at the tussock buster 2 months ago. If you haven't already I would defiantly recommend talking to the police down there, they basically knew who the guy was straight away and got a warrant on the Saturday, then searched his place the next day. The bikes were gone already, however they put a lot of effort into trying to find them. Since then they ending up getting a warrant to search his phone and I think they are just about to charge the guy. Could even be the same guy? I think he is pretty well know around there for this kind of thing. Anyway, good luck getting the bike back mate.

while watching police show on telly the other nite I noticed the cop was more interested in giving his attention to the northland locals riding on the back of the ute/trailer rather than the guy who was part of the convoy riding the late-ish model yz/wr in front of them who had no helmet reg/wof/lights didn't even raise a word of interest from cop who seemed more concerned keeping 'bro connection alive'....Similar situation in murupara/kaingaroa, locals riding late model mx bikes with shit new paint jobs and often no helmets, rather obvious id have thought.Im certain a secret sniper would get lucky on the nightwatch at such gatherings......will keep an ear/eye out but don't hang with 'the bros' so chances are slim-easy finding stuff for those who do!
