just curious to know who out there borrowed money to get their pride and joy, and who they borrowed from , mum and dad, the bank or some dodgy finance company, i borrowed $7k from westpac to get mine , a mate of mine is borrowing the same amount from his parents to get a new R1 so who out there is up to their eyeballs in debt?

My mate just financed for a GSX250. He got his through Pacific Retail Finance at 12%.

I borrowed $20,000 from BNZ for my Trophy and its hotting up. Paid it off 4 months ago - don't miss the repayments i have to say. It's like having $500 a month to spend on new paint and go fast bits.

Add - If you can - a bank's personal loan is cheaper than finance co. usually by a lot

I looked at financing a bike for my next bike but the repayments just scared me off. I don't like the thought of paying $300/month for a vechicle. My bikes may be old and not flashy but at least they are mine.

They for some reason made me a preferred customer (just cause I payed the last bill....) and are helping me with the purchase of the new bike.

Same I own my bike and prefer not to have any debts hanging over my head. Would love to upgrade but can't afford it that moment, hopefully will have the money next year.
