I did, but one incident had me really shake my head.
The traffic was slow heading there on the Raes Junction to Alexandra road. Around 12 PM not far from Alexandra I was sitting behind three cars as there was a double yellow line for some distance around bends and over rises.
From behind appeared three bikes, passed me at speed, past the three cars and over a blind rise ahead, yes!! no visibility.
I braked and held back as if anything was on the other side of that rise, it would have been a very nasty scenario.
By the time I reached Alexandra the traffic and myself were right behind this group. There was no gain to this, absolutely stupid behaviour.
If it was you and are reading this, fleas of 1000 camels curse

Granstar......?
more like granma...
of course if one or more of those bikers were killed by a tourist driving a campervan on the wrong side of the road on a blind corner it would be a different story eh, but its ok for them to do it

Whats it become? Bloody expensive and heavily policed... That's what... Largely this is down to the simply awful riding of some. Sometimes the silent law abiding majority start to get a bit pissed of with the wild and loose minority.... (yes my rego is due soon)

Doesn't matter what I do or don't do.
I am responsible for me, For what I do , and for all the consequences.
so is everybody else for theirs.
that should be more then enough to keep most people more then busy

sticks'n'stones'n' negative selfless fools
Had there been a head on, it would have been a serious 3 or 4 car and 3 bike pile up for the funeral directors to sort out. A mere few seconds later there was that potential as there was oncoming traffic.
I would have have avoided and continued to enjoy riding as have done past 40 years, now where did I put my knitting. :bye:
Pass on blind rises...DON'T FUCKIN DO THAT!

I agree with you if you are talking about sticking your cock in the blender, but road accidents caused by wankers generally involve someone else that drives safely to get home to their family.

know the peice of road that granstar is talkin bout, know that granstar not a nana rider, i wouldn't pass where those bikes did and i have been known for doin dodgy passing maneuvers, kinda look at it like this, there is risky and then there is just down right stupid, and that one is just down right stupid,i do tend to do things that can be high risk to me but do try to avoid putting others in danger because of my risk taking.

Agree with that, ...no angel, ( but russd7 has an inkling I am a bit of pussy in some respects). Don't s'pose my time on Teretonga track counts to much, but this year did place second at the Mauritangi Race Meet, and was first over the line at the first event of the Wyndham street circuit Burt Munro weekend, but then road riding in traffic is a completely more dangerous game.
However, there is sensible decisions (even if they are kinda unlawful :innocent:) made along with errors of judgement, we all deal with as motorcyclists but my opinion (rant :violin:if you will err...the title does say "General Bike Ravings", hope this is the right place) in this case was neither of the two, it was just plain crazy action of some with bigger balls than their gas tanks taking unnecessary risk to other road users and themselves and could have been very nasty. Your'e welcome to a bulletproof attitude, me I enjoy bikin intact and hope to for a few years yet, just saying, ... shuffling off to do my cross stitch leaving you to suck eggs however you choose, my safety message is as is.
Google mapped it 307Fruitlands roads, follow the rise and see what is on the other side :doctor:
