This Ducati rider deserved to be thumped in my opinion.

Hmmm, abundance of self righteousness, dearth of skill, and lack of braking; has Cassina got a ducati and a sex change?

What a fucking twat.

Motorcyclist is an arse.

Also, whoever designed that road layout is an arse. What's the deal with a cycle lane that abruptly ends and leaves the cyclist heading straight towards an oncoming lane of traffic?

What a prat.

Stupid phone / Tapatalk, apologies in advance.

Yeah, I agree here, but no excuses for the motorcycle.

I work as a moto in cycling/running events and have seen plenty of things occur and still won't get close to some random cyclist on the road. Give them space.

That said, was that cyclist on his phone? In slow mo it looks like he had his right hand to his left ear...

Yes he was on the phone, they discuss that in the clip, obviously not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Nonetheless, the accident was entirely the fault of the motorcyclist.
Maybe the Ducatisto was going for pompous prat of the year.

If you think I ride as crazy as that dude I would have been dead long ago.

All I know is how you ride lands you in many accidents. But his actions and attitude do fit very well with your internet persona, so don't shoot the messenger, work on your message instead :2guns:

You are talking shit again as you have never seen me ride.

And which part of my post referred to details I would need to see you ride for? none of it did.

But, it does raise a good point, can you chuck a go-pro on, then upload some vids of your close calls so we can point out how you can improve your defensive riding skills. Might be a good case study. Obviously in the above case, the fuckwit is the biker, but the cyclist could have improved their chances by being more aware of their surroundings, not being on a cellphone, having rear view mirrors etc...

Mind you, anyone with their bar-ends pointing up in the air like that deserves a stick through the spokes.

Go pros were not invented when I had my last accident which was not my fault by the way which I know with your screwed up way of thinking you will not believe anyway. I do not have a go pro on when I go riding all the time anyway. How about we see some go pro vids of your riding to assess your competency??

Of course I would believe it wasn't your fault; what I would find tricky to believe is that it was unavoidable for you. Your advice is worthless remember, unless others want vids of my riding to critique I see no reason to post it up.

I wonder at the reason the ducati rider posted his up, must have been awfully self righteous to do so in light of his contribution to the accident...

You must know I would find fault with your riding then, to be afraid to show me otherwise I would have thought your would have only be too happy to show how much of an expert you claim to be and how I could "Learn" from your "Expert" riding eh!!

You really do have a lot of reading difficulties don't you  Anything you would find is as irrelevant as your advice, and I don't claim to be an expert rider; however, plebs like you are doing your best to make me look as good as possible

With the advice and opinions that you have already stated to date ... I never want to be that close as to actually SEE you ride.

Meanwhile, back on topic...

I not going to defend the motorcyclist here because he could have and should have avoided the collision but I don't to see the sense of a cycle lane that runs up the middle of the road and just stops at a pedestrian crossing. It looks to me that at the point of contact the cyclist is on the wrong side of the road but I can't see where the traffic planners thought he should be an how he was supposed to get there. For that matter, is that cycle lane to be used by cyclists traveling in both directions?

BTW if anyone needs to know, that road is Constitution Hill, adjacent to the front of Buck' House approaching the Victoria Memorial.

Shame that taxi didn't reverse over the motorcycle, would be exactly what that cunt deserved.

What the 'Look at the right hand' bit.... one was a cock sucker deliberately riding into another road user, the other was on the fucking telephone. A little sympathy for the cyclist, but only a little.

If that is Constitution Hill, then that is not a cycle lane. Those lines are there to separate traffic and only run 50 metres.

Definately is Constitution Hill, I recognised the Victoria Memorial in the video then double checked with Google maps & Street View.

Yep, definitely Constitution Hill. I also checked Google Earth. That area they are riding in is our equivalent of a flush median I think.

Bike and cycle rider are as bad as each other.

I wonder where the cyclist was going to go after entering the roundabout. Queen Vic would not be amused.
