Oil is a touchy subject to some.

I use ELF brand in my bikes.

I can't say I've had good experiences with motul.

Ive also been hearing some bad reviews of Motul, gearbox issues are the biggest complaint.

I can only just about afford the bike and I dont wanna have to buy a new engine too !!!

I have run motul basically in all my bikes. i have never had a problem with motul so I have no idea what all the bad rubbish is about.

Not really, most car oils are diesel rated, but specific diesel oils have higher antiwear additives and are much the same additive package as motorcycle oils....but cheaper - I think the picture of a motorcycle on the bottle costs more to reproduce than a picture of a truck. The diesel oil I use in my diesels is said to be suitable for 80,000km change intervals - serious protection.

....is any that's not ON the road. All oil should be kept well away from roads, especially cornery bits.

You're welcome.
