1972 Honda CB350 build - starter removal?

Folks Im wondering if its 'legal' to remove the electric starter and all the associated bits on an old 1972 cb350 Im building and just have it as kickstart. Does anyone know if this will cause issues when trying to pass the VIN wof process etc?

As long as any holes are blanked off properly it shouldn't be a problem.
Our CB350 starts easier on the kickstarter anyway......

The only issue i could imagine coming across with removing electrics from a bike would be that I believe (not adamant on this fact) that you have to be able to turn on your lights without the engine running for a WOF.

Thanks, I'll keep a battery for lighting so that's not a problem and I've got a plug all sorted for the hole. Its more altering the stock form of the bike and what might be deemed a safety issue having to kick start at lights and what not

Jeepers - go for it, unless you are taking your bike to a old crusty motorcycle mechanic for a WOF the person doing it will have no friggen idea of what a 1972 bike had or had not.

Just do it.

Can't see a problem with kickstart only, there are plenty of other bikes with no electric start, for example the CB360 I owned years ago that had a starter motor for decorative purposes only.

Not much wiring to change, just remove the lead from the starter solenoid to the starter motor and you're done.
