Hey guys. Quick info and follow up question.

I found a bike, on restricted license, l want to buy it. But....

Does an aftermarket exhaust affect (new) insurance?

I have no interest in getting extra performance from a 250 but it's the right bike that is available in price and location. Just curious about the exhaust being a factor in a high insurance cost in comparison to stock.

Cheers

Kiwibike insurance had no issues with it for me.

Technically no longer LAMS compliant if it has an aftermarket exhaust. There's another thread talking about this here: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/167335-Do-cops-ever-check-your-bike-s-LAMS-compliance?p=1130730955#post1130730955
