Had to dredge back nine pages to find cycling thread, not the one I wanted but will do.

Now look at the first incident in bikevid on related news article. This poor cyclist is so obsessed with what the car is doing he practically hits the traffic stopped in front of him.
And if you pause at the end and look at his road positioning he's out way wider than he needs to be.
Its time the cops started prosecuting some of these cyclist for entrapment as they are clearly not taking the earliest opportunity to avoid a dangerous situation.

Strangely enough, just about everyone here. I backed into the kerb the other day and did I ever get some strange looks!

Yes John... The only things that I do miss are family and my biker friends! They don't seem to have rallies here; they do have rideouts like the Motorally, (1000 miles in 24 hours) with 102 riders this year, the BOSS Ironman challenge, 1200kms in 24 hrs with over 300 riders. BOSS stands for BMW Owners' Society of Saferiders. Another rather odd one is the GS700 which is open to anything with a grip shift gearchange, like some Vespas and a few other scooters like the scooters and mopeds of our distant youth! This covers 700kms of fairly hilly country and apparently they have a ball.

There are countless clubs spread all over the archipelago, but the biggest ones are here on Luzon, the main island and most rideouts are centered around Manila. My little tiddler is too small for these, plus the ride from here to Manila and back would make them all just too big a ride. Hopefully when I get a few bob together I might upgrade to a 390 Duke, or maybe even a Husky TR650 Strada. These are very affordable here.
They have a silly rule that anything under 400cc cannot use the expressways; a bit stupid really as the Duke certainly would not hold other traffic up.
The other options are maxi scoots like the Kymco 500, the SYM 400, and the BMW C650GT which are all ok on the expressways.

I haven't ventured more than about 60kms from home yet, but will eventually get out more. Since buying my bike new I've averaged 108 mpg.
