haha gold.
Not the first time someone has been prosecuted because of their own youtube vids - I remember one about 5 or 6 years ago, some muppet drifted a wrx... into a lamp post. His made uploaded the cellphone vid and it lead to a successful prosecution!

Ah thank you! The whole video posted by the OP had signs of a cock-up in the making didn't it?

Nah. Wouldn't waste my bandwidth.
It's more fun catching loonies red handed.

Sadly there's no shortage of contenders in real life it seems. And best of all, it's not just "On any given Sunday" even :brick:

Speaking of that, do you ever do the old school method of just parking up at night with windows down and listening for tapped out engines? Or do the donuts and coffee go cold to quick :)
Back in the old council run traffic dept here was always someone parked up down the road waiting to stop the latest Darin award. But lately there's been a few regular tools doing crazy shit in their cars like est 140+ in 50 zone and I can't be arsed phoning those civilian tools at comms centre unless its a life and death matter.

I was one of those county Mounties. Fond memories of Sunday nights waiting for the dick of the week to come along.
The guys still do it. Just not me so much. Don't work lates much if at all. Most crashes still happen earlier in the day due to traffic volumes.

Cool.
Used to be lots of crashes at my junction but ever since the council built two alternative routes the crash rate has dived even though the traffic volume has dropped only say about 25%.
But down the road at a set of four way traffic lights the crash rate seems to have risen after a major supermarket went in and boosted the traffic count and frustration levels of motorists.
This is quite weird as the overall driving standard has plummeted noticeably and more rentals in our suburb hence more young folk with fast cars etc although the midlife crisis salesreps with HSV seem to be main offenders...
To me it shows how much of an under rated factor distraction/fatigue/bad choices are...
We need a ghost chips ad where Monique slaps George and tells him to pay attention!
