7th September 2005, 07:56
Hi all, Ive been approached (unbelievably) by a manuafacturer of top quality motorcycle leather and safety equipment, after recieving samples and testing them out for two months I have decided to bring some in to sell on to KB riders and the general market.
I have been wearing these leathers for a while so those of you that have seen me riding around in them would have seen them.
This is what I have.

Leathers:Punk:

Two piece leathers, all sizes, two jacket options. they Zip together have knee sliders removable thermal liners, CE approved full armour ( even in the shins) Scotchlite, excellent pockets.
Pants are full of good stretch panels to allow good movement and comfort.
All made with premium Cow hide (not buffalo)
Pants $250.00
Jackets $250.00

Back Protectors :woohoo:

I have heaps of these coming in all CE approved, the armour is mounted on a kevlar looking material and features a wide velcro band to hold it in position.
Back Protectors $70.00

Gloves:clap:

huge assortment of vented sports gloves to Dupont leather combo gloves, all made extremely well, similiar in NZ would be $200 easy so these are a real bargan.
I have a vareity of colours and styles and sizes.
Gloves $70.00

Prices ex Hamilton

I will have the gear by the end of this month, so if your thinking about new gear or replacing the old I recommend you have a look at this before you buy as its aesily of the quality and standard as the leading brands, I suspect my supplier makes some of these top brands they are that good !!

If you are interested I will be at pukekohe this weekend and can show you
I have a huge range of gear to choose from this supplier, I will start with this and then get into some other items such as one piece, coloured jackets, cordura jackets and pants.

Cheers

Hi Quasi

As it so happens I'm in the market for jacket and pants, up 'till this point I was going to go for gear from Lifestyle imports.

Couple of questions. Can you do any pants without knee sliders, I ride a tourer so don't need 'em (yes I could just take them off I know, if there were'nt any other styles) also, you mention thermal liners, is that in the pants and jacket or just jacket?

Cheers

Do the jackets come with thermo lining and are they removable?

Do the pants come with thermo lining and are they removable?

What areas of the body does the jacket & pants protect with CE Armour?

Can the jacket & pants be zipped together forming a single piece suit?

Looked at the pictures, pants appear to have material on them. For me material = leaks and I'm not keen on getting wet. Are they waterproof?

Do they have maintenance free and worry free service life of at least 10 years?

What people height range does the back protector fit?

See the gloves are a material/leather combination item. Do they leak in the rain? How many hours are they good for in the rain?

How many hours of riding are the jacket & pants good for in the rain before starting to getting wet?

Is the jacket collar high enough to tuck up and cover your neck/chin area?

Is the gear easy to dry out?

Is the gear warm and comfortable to wear?

In the unthinkable crash situation, does this gear give protection on par with good quality Corda gear?

What is their brand name and country of manufacture?

Thanks,
Horse.

Shit ask a question or two:rofl: see my answers within your questions mate.

Do the jackets come with thermo lining and are they removable? Yes and Yes

Do the pants come with thermo lining and are they removable?
No and No leathers usually dont in the pants

What areas of the body does the jacket & pants protect with CE Armour?
All the contact points, back elbows, shoulders in jacket, thighs knees and unusually shins which is fantastic

Can the jacket & pants be zipped together forming a single piece suit?
Yes absolutely

Looked at the pictures, pants appear to have material on them. For me material = leaks and I'm not keen on getting wet. Are they waterproof?
They are called stretch panels so you can move well on them, they are lewather not supposed to be waterproof, most people incl me own a one piece rain suit

Do they have maintenance free and worry free service life of at least 10 years? depends if you crash or how you treat them, treat them well then yes

What people height range does the back protector fit?
The back protector while CE approved is a back protector to your lower back, Im selling proper Back protectors also, I recommend these over any factory fitted back protector in any brand leathers.

See the gloves are a material/leather combination item. Do they leak in the rain? How many hours are they good for in the rain?
They are not meant to be waterproof

How many hours of riding are the jacket & pants good for in the rain before starting to getting wet?
They are leathers mate , leather isnt waterproof

Is the jacket collar high enough to tuck up and cover your neck/chin area?
No its a sports jacket, comes up to your shirt collar height, buy a neck warmer for neck warmth

Is the gear easy to dry out?
Dont get it wet ideally

Is the gear warm and comfortable to wear?
Leather isnt particulary warm either mate

In the unthinkable crash situation, does this gear give protection on par with good quality Corda gear?
Leather is better in a crash than cordura, thats why racers use it

What is their brand name and country of manufacture?
They do not have a brand name in the country of manuafacture, the company toll manuafactuers for international brands, like your adidas shoes are made in China, same thing

Thanks,
Horse.

Airport mangere mate

Right lets set up a time later next week. Maybe if there are a few of the Auckland crew who want to see your gear we can manage to find a common time......

I'm more interested in just having a look at this stage. Probably may only buy a back protector

.....although I need a set of leathers and probably some new sports gloves too.......

Do you have any kind of an integrated back protector and chest protector too?? .......Like the kind of stuff you were wearing at Puke the first time I went out.....

mmm very interested, wouldn't mind trying an XL perhaps, when the next shipment comes.

The one decent off I have had so far left bruising on the chest instead, nothing on the back... so I'm not underestimating chest protection.

See... this is why I was asking soo much about the protectors... initially I thought you only had the one basic back protector, then I thought you also had a lower back one, then somehow, one was integrated into a proper jacket... now you do have this one...

Oh well, got there in the end and you are also dealing with multiple people. I would like to try the integrated chest and back protection when it comes please.

What price will you be a wanting for this one??

Or are you using that as a price gauge for the next shipment? Obviously you can't run at a loss tho.

I brought a set of these leather pants this evening, with CE armour, knee sliders stretch panels etc. I was so impressed at the quality and fit that I also brought a jacket which zips on making a nice 2 piece suit. This is high quality gear and is comfortable. Not quite up to the quality of my Alpinestar kit, but not far off and just 25% of the cost.

Glove: 6001
Glove: 6007
Glove: 6012
Glove: 6022

- Which aren't cordura
- Which come in black (maybe a bit of gray detail)
- Which come in XXL (are these sizes the same as other brands??)
- Also preferably have carbon knuckles

Not at the moment I dont , but they all have double leather on the palms

It has a Vecro fastener around the wrist, that whole carbon fibre part is the fastener, works well , I like it
