Spy cars?

I tried to find an older thread about the Wellington council and their traffic policing camera cars. Couldn't find it. Thought this might be of interest to KBers down that way.

Its redundant technology anyway, soon be taken over by gps vehichle tracking etc. Palmy has sensors in road that autro detect non payment and send warden to space.
I think the British one is more a case of VIP/Govt officials getting caught too often.
Funny how people will get upset about this but happily carry around a $1000 GPS enabled smartphone that will soon be the tool to inflict the same stuff upon themselves...
