Hey Guys.

When I was younger I rode a motorcycle both in the US and Japan. Lately I have been thinking I might get into it again but when I moved to NZ about seven years ago I didn't carry over my motorcycle endorsement. I presume this means I need to start over and get a learners license etc.

In Japan I rode an old beat up Yamaha XT 250, in the US I rode a Yamaha Radian (500). I haven't bought a bike yet but when I look at trademe for some reason my eyes tend to wander to the old bikes of my era. Obviously being *ahem* a more mature person I don't foresee getting a crotch rocket or anything like that. Something more laid back, comfortable and more suitable for the rainy conditions here.

Anyway I just wanted to say hi. If anybody has any advice about licensing, bikes, gear etc I'd appreciate it.

Oh I live in Tauranga so if there are any locals who want to say hi I'll buy the cuppa.

Cheers.

dude, there be some awesome roads round there for a crotch rocket but other bikes go round corners too
and it only rains occasionally, enjoy gettin back on bikes, back in the day when i were young and stupid i used to quite regularly ride in the samoan safety gears and sometimes i even used to put a singlet on for safety  but hell i had an awesome tan.
if i ever hear of my stepson riding like that up there i will personally get on a plane and get up there and kick his ass :argh:
