At least this one didn't end with an ambulance ride.

It's a long time since I frequented these parts, but I'm being cheeky and hoping someone might help.

My new to me '94 CBR900RR didn't get much further down the road after throwing me off, and much of its travel was on its side. Entirely my fault, and I've decided that as punishment I need to put this baby back to stock. I've put a WTB ad in the trader section:

http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/167626

and I actually came back here to dig out crazefox' contact details because he did a bang up job on some ZXR750 rims for me a few years back. I'm having a hell of a time sourcing a top fairing. I've managed to source the two side panel, and it looks like I can get decals for a top which means I'm one good respray away from showroom shape, if I can just get that fairing. If anyone has any leads or advice, I'm keen to hear. I'm not keen on aftermarket, but I might end up with one of those Delkevic injection molded jobs.

Cheers,

Chris.

Physics overcame skill.

That's about the size of it. Common sense was nowhere to be found.

Thanks, pritch, I'm all good. I look on it as a great lesson on how laziness and hubris punish people who ride motorcycles, especially after a couple of years of nothing but occasional trail rides. I'm not fit, the skills are all but gone, but I'll be taking it steady for a while now.

For fucks sake, hubris.

Those Chinese bikes are going to ruin it all.
