Weirdest thing

Smoking. I used to smoke, gave up 5 years or so ago (I don't actually remember how long).

Had a couple of guests check in today, older woman and her daughter. Daughter smokes.

Mark caught a whiff of her smoke and commented it smelled nice. That happens sometimes when you have given up smoking, you get a whiff and love the smell.

I just had the daughter come in and ask a few questions. She reeks! Stinks of stale smoke and now my Reception does too!

That is weird! What is more weird, the fact the I comes before E except after C, and when the word is WEIRD!

It has been far too, far too since I started a stupid thread on here.

I am the worst reformed smoker. Pisses me off big time. I hate second hand smoke and self righteous smokers. I was a heavy smoker for 25 years, given up for 10.....shit habit, stinks, kills and anti social.

Some brands still smell pleasant. Acrid and horrible when it is still hanging. Sweet a half to an hour later. 2 hours later disgusting and gagtastic. Why I started in the first place. The mrs was out of town and the flat stink of day old fags.

Funny smoke smelling story. Back in high school days (not to long ago actually), a few mates and I were walking across the field. I could smell weed and gave my mates the 'look'. A couple of third formers, loudly said "ahhh eww I can smell someone's dirty socks!".... Obviously lived sheltered lives.

Had a physical job, hand unloading about 300 cartons of alcomahol a day to small liquor stores around Auckland when I got sucked into the habit after a wild night out...
Being a die hard 500cc fan at the time we hit the Malboros after being told Pall Malls were pussy girl cigs... After about three weeks of feeling like I was dying from suffocation I threw the wretched things out the window, about 15 years ago and never touched them again :)

You really believe that Murray?.....really? Fuck you need to get out and open your mind and circle of friends. Strangers that share niceties whilst smoking outside are not being social, I smoked for many years and didn't meet one friend standing outside smoking, just shared moments with fellow smokers.......meaningless moments.

I still love the smell of 3 things.
- Avgas being burnt
- Burnt Rubber
- The smell of a 2-stroke

On the flip side if I hear the motorolla pager tone (also the same as some phones ring tone) I get cold sweats, and mentally freak out a little.

So I guess this is all tied to memories.
