Whats all that about?
Is it trimmed beards, rimmed glasses and BMW bobbers?
I described it to my brewing work mate and he said thats the craft beer scene too.
Dang another fad I missed....Punk, Disco ( not so much), New Romantic, Metal, Grunge, ....( although my Missus says I was always Grunge)

Yes, that may be true, but at least we are not sexing each other after the gigs. Usually too busy spewing in the gutter.:niceone:

If your not living in a a squat in some run down suburb of London its a fad.

Must really suck to be a metal head, and lose all that lovely hair. I know it is starting to thin my mohawk out. :baby:

totally...and I have a " Merry Christmas Bastard" Motorhead T shirt circa 1989 to prove it..... it was their Christmas Show.
My Son turned down my studded and zipped leather jacket......meh.
I was riding Hipster proto types bikes, ones with guards, no tape on the exhaust, proper air filter..
Hipsters are OK. At least they are trying to be different.
Even if it is collectively...

haha have always thought that about mopey Goths too. 'Nobody understands me, I'm so unique and different, like the 200 other people dressed just like me at this gig of this band no one has heard of but me (they were doing that before hipsters :p)."
Just row your own boat and who gives a fawk what anyone else is thinking I reckon.

Fuck - I didn't know it was a fashion fad - let alone that it was dying ... I thought hipsters were from the late 1950s-early 1960s ...

Personally I don't mind 'em. They buy bike magazines and I like the Deus-esque bikes and the occasional nod to Kustom Kulture.
I've been a fan of that since the 60's: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kustom_Kulture

Had one of those, Newcastle City Hall, 1989 IIRC. Wore it until it fell apart.

Gotta have a label. Can't just be popular culture for the moment. Box it up!

Dang another fad I missed....
Fads passed me by while I was trying to keep my British bikes on the road, my clothes got dirty and had holes in them, my hair grew long and greasy, the bikes got chrome and lots of noise, I got an attitude from more fucking things going wrong with my bike.
Twenty years later I see people pretending to be what we weren't.

The past only looks cool in movies.

That's a rather politer word than what was said at the time. No one wants to be dirty anymore, having your jeans go shiny from the grease isn't cool, and long hair tangled in knots from riding at 70mph with no helmet doesn't turn girls on. But just the right amount of grunge, a tame bike with enough snarl to titilate, being in the right place at the right time, you need to get the whole package just right....and luckily you can buy it all online.

I got bored with them.
Besides, you don't need to go to Rant & Rave - I managed to get into a blue in the ADV section.
