Hi :-)
I'm hoping someone may be able help. I have a 1986 BMW K75S and as part of the project want to put clip-on handlebars on it. My dilemma is this:
The front forks are 41.3mm and as nobody makes clip-on clamps in this size I am thinking 41mm will just fit tightly or can be sanded out 0.15mm and made to fit that way? Has anyone done this or know if this is a good idea before I buy?
Cheers,
Any help much appreciated :-)

Good project. 41.3 - reckon the 41's could be easily made to fit.

I reckon you'd be pretty safe with getting 41mm clip-ons to fit. 0.3mm isn't too much to ask to spread them over. If you are being fussy on fancy race forks then yes you would probably have them machined out.

41'a and get a emery paper flapper thingy for your drill and it will relieve it evenly... Done that a few times for fork braces that were slightly less than ideal. Worked a treat...

Brilliant! This is exactly what I had thought I would do...just needed the moral support :-)

Cheers, that's what I thought. I'm doing a Cafe project so we aren't talking cutting edge performance :-)

Cheers, seems like the general consensus is 41's should work :-)
