Dates are available from the MNZ facebook page for 2015,Who would have thought 4 rounds with a doubleheader would be the most popular???Not sure that having the doubleheader as the first round is the hot setup,BUT it is what it is,Get into it!!!!

I'd like to see the double header alternate between islands each year.
Looks good though. Both North Island rounds are local for me :niceone:

Yip,
Although the original thinking for last year was to encourage people to attend the final round,Theyre always gonna be at round 1,That said I would have had one in each island,BUT,Its Gregs decision and nomatter how it was organised,Someone would be upset,From here its all systems go,Oh and there'll always be someone wanting to have a stab at my opinion and surprise, surprise their from Dorkland,Go figure.

What I'd love to see is either
2 rounds in one island, 3 rounds in the other island, alternating each year
OR
2 rounds in each island, 1 round is a 3 day event which alternates island each year
But you can't please everybody.

Thats because the results of the test were misread.
"The number of rounds came out narrowly in favour of four rounds over that of six rounds with five rounds being the next choice."
So that means the MAJORITY of the votes were to have MORE than 4 rounds.
5 rounds is more than 4
6 rounds is more than 4
add the people who voted for 5 rounds and the people that voted for 6 rounds and that means the majority of the votes were for MORE than 4 rounds

Hopefully not,But who knows,Theres some pretty fucked up people involved with MNZ,I think the point he was making is the poll was a bit of a junket as anybody could vote AND as many times as they liked,Don't even need to own a motorcycle,It was obvious the format set last year was best for the greater number of competitors as numbers were up by as much as 50% over previous years,The series needs to be restablished and operating to a satisfactory level before any thoughts of increasing it in any way are considered,Some people just don't want to admit that what I did was far better than what had been occuring,But thats just cause they don't like me personally,Sucks to be them.

Jeez your onto it aye,93% of votes were single voters,So therefore the commissioner can verify that voters did not use more than 1 email address,More than 1 device to use for voting or got their friends and family to vote???? Cause I happen to know otherwise and I'm stunned the admin allowed a poll open to all and sundry,The norm was to communicate with MNZ members only on all subjects pertaining to MNZ business,In fact of the 5000 plus emails I still have on file there are several examples of replies demanding the recpient explain their membership status before further communication take place,Also if you had an knowledge of the job at all you'd understand that 30% is generally as good as it gets when it comes to making a decision,So to recap,More people wanted to attend 4 rounds(As was already proven last season as opposed to those previous) than either 5 or 6 rounds singularly,That coupled with the SIGNIFICANT increase last year makes it a no brainer.

I could have and WOULD have,Social skills or not,Of that I am sure,But as your aware there were other factors involved,Its not that hard really,Just a bit of commonsense and a decent set of rules that are used in a sensible manner,I'm sure Greg will take it atleast as far as I could have,But there needs to be some rot removed first,Thats why a few of us got together and formulated a plan during NZSBK 2014 to make changes at board level,That has now taken place in part and I am confident those new members are aware of the issues,Not sure they believed me earlier,But they do now.Right now decisions are made based on personality and not in the interests of the sport,One thing even you would have to agree with is,That no matter how many times you and I butted heads,Once we had come to some sort of agreement,That was the end of it and it was business as usual,I doubt we would ever be mates outside of motorsport because we're both strongwilled,Never backdown personalities,That never stopped me listening to your point of view AND where others agreed,Implementing changes you might have suggested or at the very least taking the time to listen and investigate them,That wasn't happening at board level pre AGM and another problem Greg will be having to deal with is the constant interference and wayward advice from the oldboys club who are clearly only interested in self promotion and have no or little interest in the safety of the competitors,As you discovered at Wanganui,Those clowns should never have been in control of a meeting ANYWHERE in the country,Let alone a street circuit,Its high time the members started to put pressure on the administration and started asking the hard questions re the rulebook and appeal process,Not the commissioner,He is powerless as I discovered and if you put the pressure on,You become the problem.Cause you cause too much trouble,Heres an easy one for you to start off with,Ask to see the budget for the HD round in 2015,Cause the 2014 one was a joke,Thats why there was no round there,NOT as they claimed they couldn't afford another loss,I pulled the plug on them,Poor Graham was in damage control.Yip,You might call it no social skills,I call it getting the job done regardless AND it worked,As one of the team owners I am sponsoring for 2015 so eloquently put it "Maybe you just have to be a C@#T like you" to get the job done,Plenty would agree with him re the C word,But roadrace commissioner is not a popularity contest,Thats why it's not an elected position,Best advice I could offer anybody is,Forget about me and whatever I did to piss you off and get behind Greg to give him the support he needs to keep moving forward,Battling the oldboys club,GOODLUCK with that.

Where is the promotion for this series ????
Less than a week out from round one and short of the the odd post on facebook and a number of individuals promoting their own teams etc, You wouldn't even know it was happening if you weren't a member or hadn't entered, Correct me if I'm wrong, But wasn't the new commissioners mission statement "To make NZs top roadracers household names" ???? How will that happen and why are there no updates on the MNZRRC blogspot, So much for the much claimed transparency, Wheres the website with the list of officials,Supp regs, Up to date entry lists, Links to Ctas etc, How is the general public supposed to know whats happening ?????

Don't know about the SERIES promotion...But canty have the mobile billboards out as usual. I'd assume it's at their expense as usual. And lets face it, the spectators for the GP come from about a 200km radius so economically, they've got to concentrate on promoting locally.
I assume there is a distinction drawn between series and event promotion...if there's a series sponsor they'd pay for appropriate advertising and leave the local stuff to the organising club ? yes/No ? Billy ?

I have no idea what deals have been done for this year,
But for NZSBK 2014 we allowed the local clubs $3500 for local advertising and funded Grant at Ctas with a nominal amount and then posters were supplied by the office to all event organisers, But we also set up the nzsbk.co.nz info page (By we, I mean Skunk haha) and the NZSBK 2014 page run by Jdas who were the series photographers were fed as much info as we were able to give them.
Predominantly MCI do an excellent job of promoting their round and reap the rewards for doing so. It appears very little effort has gone into the series for this year, To date there are no entry forms for the NI rounds and no mention of a club to run round 4 at Taupo, You'd have to think the blogspot would be a good spot to start, But nothing there either, Our plan was always to promote round 1 and pelter the general public wherever we could with the Ctas link,In the hope that locals in other areas would follow the series on Ctas and be encouraged to attend their local round But were held back by those who proved incapable of letting the commissioner get on with the job and insisted on exerting control in certain areas and chosing to pretend Ctas didn't exist, Those people are now gone from the scene, One at AGM and the other more recently, Series sponsor ?????, Shouldn't need one anyway MNZ have the resources to underwrite a sensibly run series.
