Okay, it is unlikely you guys look in the Bike Trader Section often, so I am reposting in here:
Bike: 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250 R. (EX250J). Rego on Hold until April 2015. Raced since it was run in by MotoRad for 2010 Winter Series. Raced by me since September 2010. Has been a front running bike at Club Level.
Tyres are Dunlop Sport Max A12-H on front that has done Practice only at Ruapuna in 2013 Nationals and NI National Rounds in 2014. Rear A-13H (Brand new model) has done Manfeild round of Nationals only.
Carbs were Re-Jetted by Motorad for End Can when bike was new.
Runs Motal 5100 Oil, Motal 660 Brake Fluid, Motal Mr Cool Coolant additive.
Modifications:
•Race Fairings
•Genelli End Can (a little scratched, but works well)
•Short Levers
•Lever Guards (All Alloy)
•Clip Ons -(Bars 7/8” Extruded 6061 Alloy Tube)
•Belly Pan with “Cam Lock” Fasteners (Aircraft quick release) - Added since photo was taken.
•Alloy Pegs
•Passenger Peg frames removed. Muffler held secure my steel bar.
Extras:
•Spare Top Fairing (Needs a little paint, but damage repaired.
•Spare Rims complete with discs and sprocket carrier
•Spare Sprockets (14/45), currently has 15/44 fitted.
• Spare Race Brake Pads
•Spare Gear Lever
•A spare Screen, and some other miscellaneous stuff.
Faults:
Starter motor Idler Gear broke its way out of the engine casing so no longer self starting. This technically makes it illegal for 250 Production, however starter is still fitted and spins over. It just can't start the engine.
A good 2nd hand Engine is $1000. This will be the most cost effective way to fix the Starting Issue.
I used to do oil changes every 3rd meeting. It is now due.
Left Hand Fairing has a few scrapes along it. Scrapes are covered by Vinyl at the moment. They could do with a bit of repair and paint.
Tail Piece has a hole in it where some of the frame punched through it. This could do with a repair.
Screen is cracked in the corner, but replacement available. I didn't change it as the screen still works fine.
Things You Will Need:
Paddock Stands (Will put sidestand on so it can sit in the shed until stands are obtained). Has Swing Arm Bobbins.
Rear LED Light for Wet Meetings.
Shark Fin (If you want to race at Nationals)
Other than that all you need to do is put fuel in it and you are away racing. Just have to Push Start it (Which is easy).
Can be viewed at Manfeild on July 12th.

Darn... well spotted. Took it straight from the Ad on here.......
I am looking for $3500 as is.
Price will be a little higher if I need to spend a little time on it (Or my fibre "glassier" and painter more to the point).
And substantially more if I get another engine for it.

Okay,
I am taking this to Manfeild on Saturday.
IF somebody wants to pay the entry fee they can enter themselves into Development Class and have a test race or 3 if they like. http://www.vicclub.co.nz/downloads/Winter_Series_Entry_Form_2014.pdf
You just have to be 15 or over: http://www.vicclub.co.nz/developmentformula.php
If you enter it in 250 Production you will most likely win the round.... sadly.
Only catch is: If you drop it you pay for repairs, if you total it you own it....
Otherwise it will sit all day near the hotdog stand with a FOR SALE sign on it.

I'm assuming you have forgot about the VMCC scholarship riders at the front....
Though you are likely to get points for turning up:msn-wink:

What are entries like for the rest, like clubmans etc ?

Righto,
Bike is STILL FOR SALE!
I will be taking it to Bridgestone VMCC Round 4 on 17th of August.
It will also be at the Vic Club Training/ Track Day on the 16th if anybody at all wants to take it for a spin.......
I might use it to coach for a couple of sessions, but if anybody wants to ride it you are welcome.
*Usual clauses apply of course. - Drop it you fix it, Break it you buy it...
Heck, summer isn't that far away....

I think it would be a great addition to the VIC Club fleet for use by the young up and coming riders who could take it's care and well being on as a collective project. Prep what you race etc. Maybe we could collectively fund it through sponsors or club members. Canterbury has a fleet, why not us? I'll put in a hundy if it would get the ball rolling. What say you?

Yea,
Or not,It would just end up like the last lot of machinery the club owned,When I was handed the RG to rebuild the engine,There were a number of reasons the bike should NOT have been on track including,Sidestand still operational,Both catch bottles had holes in them rendering them ineffective,The sump plug wasn't wired properly,The servomotor was buggered and so on,Add to that the fact this bike is not even eligible for 250 Production as it is unable to be started with the starter motor as the Appendix requires at the end of any race.Furthermore as Oyster has tried to tell the club on numerous occassions,Gifting a ride for the entire season does not work,2 meetings then buy your own,The club would be better off buying 3 or 4 FXRs and offering wildcard rides to NEW ENTRANTS ONLY at Kaitoke and inducting new entrants to the sport,THEN if they think it's worth the effort,Buy a scholarship machine for 250 production,BUT for 2 meetings max,The reason the club is struggling for entries now is because theyve long ignored advice AND help offered by Oyster, myself and many other experienced ex racers who know damned well the problems we face.

I can't disagree with any of this....
Billy is correct regarding the ineligibility at the moment.
There are plans to make it a 250 Production bike again one day.....
I am offering up rides out of my own purse to get somebody interested. It will not be a long term thing. Only two rounds left in the Winter Series anyhow.
