Hi all,
New to KB and still fresh to riding. Been riding for almost a year now. Started out on a 2013 CBR250RR and quickly made the upgrade to a 2013 CBR500R once i felt comfortable.
I live in Auckland, try to ride as much as I can mainly around the streets of East Auckland and occasionally run out to Maraetai/Clevedon area. I mostly ride with my partner but every now and then when he's busy ill ride around on my lonesome just getting to know my bike.
I've always wanted to learn how to ride a motorcycle, had no idea just how much i'd fall in love with it to be honest. I don't know how i'd cope without my ride time these days. People told me it was addicting when i first started learning, boy were they right.
I love my CBR500, just the right amount of get up and go without being to daunting for me, although my partner let me take his 2014 636 ninja out for a ride around the block the other day and i really didn't want to give it back!! That'll teach him for sharing!!
I've very much made my 500 my own! It started out as a Tri-colour and is now mainly Pink, needless to say my partner refuses to ride it now! I am becoming very good friends with the boys down a Demon Graphics in East Tamaki as they have done the vinyl wrapping on both of the bikes i have owned so far and I have a feeling this wont be the last either. Also they've done an awesome job of Pink'ing out my Helmet which is now complete with a bright pink glittery bow on the top, Hard to Miss!!
I'd love to head out to the track later in the year once i feel confident enough and have some decent gear and also would love to find some more female riding buddies!
Mainly I just can't wait for summer so I can get a little more seat time in, learn more about my bike and what I can do with it and get more confident so I can maybe tag along on some group rides! i'd probably just hold everyone up at the moment!!!
Glad to be apart of the KB community :)

Good on you for getting out there. Saw your bike at Botany Honda a couple of weeks ago and had a quick peek at the vinyl wrapping, which reminded me to do some of my own.
Also saw you (the bike makes it easy) yesterday. I was stopped with another at Whitford, and then you pulled over on the Pohutukawa Coast and we passed you.
Enjoy the bike

Don't worry, we've got the boys at Botany Honda well trained over the last few years. They shouldn't bat an eyelid at any requests after some of the stuff myself and mates have done.
John has even made custom brackets for me, and I might have another job for him...

Can we run a book on it? I want some decent odds on how long she'll remain an active member.
Welcome to the site. There's a trend with young ladies who put pics of themselves up, try to shy from it.

It's not just the ladies though.
When people first come here they only see the good thing about the forum, meaning that it's full of motorcyclists.
If you stay a bit you also see the bad side, meaning that it is full of motorcyclists...

Oh, did you not get the memo?
Ok, this week's programme is:
-Akzle will offer 3 people 5 bucks and a bag of chips for their bikes
-2 newbies will ask for the perfect bike and get told to get a Hayabusa
-1 person has an accident which will be discussed in detail by an experts commission
-husaberg is going to post 4 juicy pics (although this is just a rough estimate)
-40 people will complain about ACC costs
-2 People will rave about cyclists
-20 people will rave about ‘cagers’ (We are thinking of combining this with Item 3 to save time)
-3 people will ask for advice on how to repair their bikes – one of them might get some useful tips, the other two will make things worse and then take their bikes to a bike shop
-Katman will offend about 50 people
And if we can fit it in, Rastuscat will tell us some entertaining stories about some more stupid people.
Did I forget something? ;)

 The vinyl wrap sticks out, a, coz I like vinyl (must put up something about my play), and b, the non standard colour sticks out like hell amongst black, blue and black.
Plus I was the one parking it in, twice, delivering my bosses bikes (Multistrada and K1300S) for the boys to get legal (imported from UK as he was over there last year). :bleh:

Don't worry, I know you're not stalking me and I know my bike sticks out like a sore thumb (I like it that way, people on the road see me coming that's for sure )
Plus, you'd be surprised at the amount of complete strangers that I've got talking to about bikes etc that upon seeing pics of my bike say that they too have seen me riding around. Including a local cop.... I'm hoping I was being good when he saw me!
You just wait until you see what i'm working on at the moment....
