hey folks.

Im wondering if this year is the anniversary of anything noteworthy in terms of bikes.
I understand the first Kawasaki Ninja was the 1984 GPZ900R so the Ninja namesake is 30 years old this year.

is anyone aware of any other milestones orcurring this year for any major brand or model whether it be 10 20 25 50 years or whatever?

I think it is technically the Hawk-GT / Bros 25th, I got my stickers over a year ago but some bloke told me you start counting from the year after....

hah, need to get the already started but not yet finished tattoos finished first . . .

Just doing a little research for a group of people putting some bikes into a show and trying to find if there are any relevant anniversaries etc this year.
So far it looks like this year is the 30th aniversary of the Ninja namesake - the GPZ900R was released in 1984

and I think the 50th anniversary of yamaha's first world championship / gp win when they won the 250 class in 1964?

if im wrong on anything feel free to correct me!

Actually think it's a far better looking bike than the current monstrosity... Kwak went off beam for 'style' after the ZZR1100.

20 years for the 916 and 15 for the Hayabusa.

10 years for the ZX-10R, also the CBR1000RR but that's not much different from the 954.

20 years for the Speed Triple.
