if you get an 08 or later it doesn't *really* need the doo replaced, just the spring. The standard spring is way too long. In my 08 it was just hanging off the locating peg, no tension whatsoever on the lever. The lever itself, while not up to EagleMike standard, is pretty ok.

+1 on the thermobob, though. Mine runs far more consistent temp since installing the t'bob.
