View Full Version : NI series 2014, 2015 very tentative dates
Henk
7th August 2014, 21:22
Tentative dates for the first two NI rounds Tokoroa 6 and 7 December
Taumarunui 10 and 11 January. Final round hopefully easter at Roy's hill, looking for at least one more round, dates and venues to be confirmed but the candidates are Te Puke Edgecumbe and Manfeild back track at the moment, this will depend on a lot of things at this stage. Lots of notice this year folks so get organised. Be good to see more from the southern end of the island this time

Back to the original date, we were looking at running with the karts on the Saturday as part of a motorsport weekend in Tokoroa that involves karts, MX and drags.
It seems that running on the kart track at the same time as drag racing on the airstrip is outside the risk profile that the organisers are comfortable with.

So many fun tracks, too little time! I'm putting together a list of all possible events (AMCC, HMC, VMCC, NZSBK) for myself to try make some kind of attack plan. Looking forward to some racing!

Not sure how likely taumarunui is at the moment either. Such is life.
The drop one round idea has merit for breakdown management but experience when we were running enduros suggests that it is a good way to have plummeting numbers as series draws to a close.

So first things first, a big thanks to everyone involved in running the northland series it was a great weekend, everyone needs to keep turning up, the more numbers the better. There where a lot of riders that are riding VERY VERY fast at the first round: Will on the RSTF, Chris is flying around and Nick's first time on the track, really good to see people stepping it up.
Rod, your bike would look better in my shed :2thumbsup

Great weekend, big thanks to all that were involved with organising and running. Plus a big thanks to TZ350 for getting me off my backside to come out and race. Seems we have sorted the bikes weight distribution, the front end finally grips when tipping in under brakeing.
Bloody hell Im so out of condition, feel like I've been run over.

Other than the obvious for me.. what a great little track. Tight and hard racing, good camping and even a river!

My neigbours must think I'm a loon with all the cackling going on over that, hilarious.
Good show chaps, I'll have to get things more sorted for a decent nudge and wasting you all next time.
