Just thought I would share this...a REAL mayor in action (its so bloody refreshing to see)

...Brillent southern thinking and community support :niceone:

With so much corruption and greed etc being argued over regarding politicians and the like...its nice to see & share the efforts of good people, using there position for its actual purpose...to help the people!

Happy Friday KBers :love:

Good on him:headbang::headbang::headbang:
Shame our mayor is more interested in going to his holiday home in wanaka and skiing all week, than giving any thing back to the community that made him wealthy and elected him.
Maybe I could get a job in Clutha, with scummy.:shutup:

A jobs expo. How new.
A job expo with a discrete number of jobs is definitely new.

Usually its half a dozen recruitment agencies, some professional firms you can pay to update your CV, training program providers and job board providers who all have the same jobs.
Job expo's are usually a waste of time. This one got 80 odd people employed - a new record for job expos.

Good on the Mayor. Can we have him for PM. I bet he would get a minimum 5.6% of the vote (http://www.tradingeconomics.com/new-zealand/unemployment-rate).

My apologies... a job expo without the middlemen it is.
