Don't know if the MAR has generating coils, but that motor was used in enduro versions so there will be a flywheel and stator somewhere which will fit. Gotta be a forum dealing with the classic Ossas somewhere...

Pretty sure they had lights standard, I remember seeing lights on several and they were required equipment in Europe at the time.

Most in NZ had the lights removed, but it would have been a really simple loom. I know a couple of ex users, if you like I can ask for details. Slim chance there's even parts lurking under benches...

Edit: Lower Hutt eh? If you got it locally I've probably ridden it.

These were imported by Mike Harris weren't they? Friend of mine (Grant Smith, Upper Hutt) bought one to use while waiting for his licence to be returned.

Honda City certainly sold a couple of 250s. Don't think I know Grant but a couple of mates campaigned them with moderate success when they first came out. They were fairly high maintenance machines if you expected them to work properly but I sorta liked the lazy handling. I'd have like them more if they actually had brakes.

The 305 was the one I lusted after, there were a couple that regularly turned up at lower NI events and did well.
