SATURDAY 26th NOVEMBER, TAUPO. This is a BMW NZ supported, ride and instruction day that BMW has also opened up to non-BMW owners/riders. It will cover riding tips and some class room sessions and is NOT a full on track day. Tuition will be from top instructors, and will cover subjects such as braking, cornering etc. Price is $85 and will include lunch. There will be very few places available at this day, so if you would like to attend, send me an e-mail registering your interest and I will get back to you.
SATURDAY 10th DECEMBER 2005, RUAPUNA. Usual Kiwi Rider track day format. $65 for subscribers and KB'ers, $80 for non-subscribers.
SATURDAY 25th FEBRUARY 2006, LEVELS TIMARU. Usual Kiwi Rider track day format, although there are noise issues at this circuit. If you don't think your bike will pass a noise test, it probably won't. So stick your standard system back on, a noisey bike is not necessarily a quicker bike! $65 for subscribers and KB'ers, $80 non-subscribers.
ALL THREE DATES WILL HAVE A STRICT NUMBERS LIMIT AND THERE WILL BE NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY. NO RACE BIKES WILL BE ALLOWED AT TIMARU. E-MAIL ME FOR ENTRY FORMS.

Looks like you can turn up and any of these and hope to get a ride or what?
Thanks for the info Chris. Enjoyed the last one you held. But now I'm saving for so new tyres.

No entries on the day. Pre-entered only as all indemnity forms will be sent out in the post prior to the event. It is just a matter of getting everyone through signing on quicker. This ultimately allows more track time.

It's been many a year since I rode around Levels but memory has it I enjoyed that track much more than Ruapuna. So, those that have recently ridden both what do you think. I'm asking because its a long trek from Welly to Timaru to find out its in ruins. The seals got to be better than Manfeild.. right? I've seen truck racing at Levels on the tele. Nothing can survive those heaps.

Anything is better than the seal at Minefield!
Nothing wrong with Levels, raced there 3 weeks ago and back down there next weekend, and the trucks don't do half as much damage as most people think and they only run Levels once a year if that
Levels is my pick of the NZ tracks

Well, usually a bunch of motorcycle types, stand around a racetrack for 3/4s of an hour, talking about "Cor, did ya see when I went like that!" and "Fuck man, I was flying out there!" waiting for their next 15 minute session so they can repeat the performance. Stupid really.
Stupid, but for some fucked up reason, immensly addictive.

Firstly, wheelies are neither big nor clever. Whoever that fucken idiot is in pic one, he should pull his friggin head in and take it off public roads. Irresponsible lout.
Secondly, I have two shows of looking even remotely attractive in a dress to anyone, even D. No show and shit show. I do, however, do a mean gold sequen G-string if anybody's interested......

So anyone from the Nth Island thinking about going down to the Levels day on 25 February?
Hard to plan that far ahead but I am keen to sample Levels again. Going to cost a bit though with ferrys, motels and bourbon and what the hell will petrol cost by then!

For Ruapuna, e-mail me and I will send off an entry form. Same for Levels. The BMW training day at Taupo is filling fast, so if you would like to brush up on your riding skills, ask for an entry form sooner rather than later.

Time to bump this back up to the top. The Taupo day is looking good, lots of BMW entries and also a fair number of non-BMW's signed up, but there are still places available.
The Ruapuna day is also taking entries and will likely be full before the shut off date.
Remember, there are NO entries on the day at any of our track days, so to avoid disappointment ask for an entry form.
Cheers

Just a thought Chris, the Round Taupo bike race is on the same weekend as the Taupo day. Has anybody had trouble finding accomodation?

Update on the Taupo BMW Training Day.
Accommodation has been an issue, but all those entered seem to be sorted. There are about 4 places left as at 15/11, so if anyone would like to attend, get in quick. It should be a good day.
Ruapuna 10th December.
This track day is now being sponsored by Canterbury Rides, the new BMW and Yamaha dealer in Christchurch. There will be bikes on display and the possibility of a demo or two. Rodney from Canterbury Rides will be offering free track day entries to the first 10 people to part with cash in the dealership when it opens officially to the public on the 5th December.
