I know its riveting stuff but I'm the Wellington co-ordinator for the TOMCC... :headbang:

Its a bit of a default situation but I have promised to do my best until someone competent comes along.

Anyway - the TOMCC is sponsoring a chap who is riding around the world on a Triumph Tiger. See here for details;

Anyway... hes arriving in ChCh sometime in early September and will be rocking into Wellington on the 16th Sept. We will visit Motorad and probably Parliament grounds and hes staying at Chez Nuttridge then onto Napier on the 17th. I plan to ride along with him as much as is feasible...

Actually, checking the colander I could be otherwise engaged that weekend with folk staying here and tickets to a test match but would be interested in catching up at some stage

Rhys Lawrey is here in CHCH, bike is all legit and ready to set off from First European Motorcycles on Saturaday, heading for Mt cook. He's doing a talk tomorow night at 5pm at First European also for those interested to pop in and meet Rhys.

Good news...

Just an update on Wellington - Rhys will arrive thursday 18th sept at 11:15 on the Bluebridge Ferry.

I'm meeting him there (any others would be welcome) and then straight on to Motorad for a meet and greet and then lunch and maybe a visit to the Beehive (just a photo - I doubt with an election to fight the pollies would be keen)

Friday he meets the British High Comissioner and then on to Napier

Saturday - Napier to Palmy to be at the Palmy Dealer around 12 for a sausage sizzle and onto Wanganui to meet the TOMCC guys there...

Well that was 'fun'... The might ST 1050 got me through again but why is it every time I ride the $#%king thing there is some sort of epic end of the world wind / weather event... ffs..... Longest trip to Napier ever....

Got away super early from Napier to palmy so we got there not too bad (as in missed the worst of it but 120kph gusts?? Give a break already. The trip home was horrible as far as Shannon (wind) and I really thought I was heading into the ditch twice then epic rain but less wind.

Spent half the day cleaning up the poor bike - what a bloody mess... sigh....
