I carry a 1st aid kit, have doubled a kid to his home who fell off his pushbike once, Does that mean my bike can be rego'd as an ambulance?

I like this bit copied from the article. " ACC spokesman Glenn Donovan said levies covered the cost of helping people injured in crashes. "Choosing to register a vehicle incorrectly is therefore depriving ACC of funds it needs."

Surely you use your motorcycle for mental health reasons?

non-profit ambulance.
You dont even need a kit, just be willing to take people to aid.
Mr23a if i remember.
I never got around to it for the bikes (no reg, sovereign) but know a few people who ambo utes, vans etc.

Some silly bitch in chch made a hoorah about carrying dead chickens (dinner) to justify rego as a hearse. I think she got butplow.

Never mind the first aid kit, the legal bill to successfully defend ticket and the time will outweigh any rego money saved.
Apparently theres' big changes in the works due to clever dicks doing this and they might be removing the restoration register as well...

they bleat about this every year or so, you think it be as simple as when change of ownership is done and it's registered as an ambulance the flags would come up that the new owner is not SJA or similar....

Milwaukee or Massey Ferguson?

Whilst in a flippant mood: with all those "ambulances" in the country, why is the SJA ceo having to defend their non/slow-response to 111 calls? - and before anyone mentions non-urgent cases - those excluded... if someone collapses then they need urgent medical assistance...

Because SJA and WFA only own a fraction of those ambulances

edit: fark, it's 26%

Yeah that's a good one

ACC is recommending the following changes to levies in 2015/16:

21% reduction to average work levy
5% reduction to earners’ levy
40% reduction to combined average motor vehicle levies.
