As some (ok most) of you know I am having reno work done on the house. I dont ride the bike to work cos its quicker to walk. I look after my bike cos its kinda cool BUT :psst:
Got home tonight...sparky been, plumber been and theres all sorts of dust and crap over the bike. How hard is it to ask me to walk up home and move the bike FOR GODS SAKE!

Throw a sheet over the bike..... that will keep the dust and crap off your bike.
Can you move your bike over to the side of the wall or corner so it aint in the way of them working.

Take the bike outside and HOSE it down on fULL FORCE.... that should take off the dust...
then with soapie water and a soft cloth wash it.
Then hose it again.

If I treated a car like sparkies and plumbers do my home I'd end up on Fair Go! They just leave all their rubbish on the ground and walk away...imagine if I left greasy finger prints over doors and gaurds, chucked spark plugs and filters in the boot....

Maybe the guys were worried that if they moved your bike they woudl have been shat on, so technically they are between a rock and a hard place. Although I do agree, they should have moved it

Compressed air and blow it off gently, or wheel it to nearest garage and use their vacuum cleaner. It'll block up your bag quick time. Feather duster. Not sure if water is a good idea.

Use wisely the words of the great Rodney.
When I was a kid I got no respect. I worked in a pet store. People kept askin' how* big I get.
I don't get no respect. I joined Gambler's Anonymous. They gave me two to one I don't make it.
I don't get no respect. I called Suicide Prevention. They tried to talk me into it.
I don't get no respect. I told my psychiatrist I got suicidal tendencies. He said from now on I have to pay in advance.
Hey , I don't get respect from anyone. Why, American Airlines, they thanked me for flying United.
I tell ya I get no respect from anyone. I bought a cemetary plot. The guy said, "There goes the neighborhood!"
I get no respect at all. I donated to a sperm bank. Now I'm the father of three puppies.
I tellin' ya, I get no respect. When I was in Switzerland, I got an obscene yodel.
Last Christmas I got no respect. In my stocking, I got an Odor-Eater.
With my wife I get no respect. I took her to a drive-in movie. I spent the whole night tryin' to find out what car she was in.
