With all the constant debate over cameras and speed enforcement I'd like to know just how many tickets people have had. Cause looking back over the years the fun to fines ratio is pretty well in my favour.
So hit the poll and fess up below any additional info deemed relevant or just whine in circular logic about the screaming injustice that $30 reaped on your life.

I drove the motorways of the UK at 95 for several years and had 1 ticket. Saw 1 major crash on the motorway in that time, caused by a deer. Almost graceful when a Leyland Daf gas van pirouettes on its nose as a metro spins around in rapid circles. No serious injuries either. Poor coppa had to bludgeon the deer. Bet he loved it.
Have had 3 tickets here. Fuckin nazi's.

I got done by Welsh police for doing 45mph on what I thought was a dual carriageway. But there was no centre reservation so they classed it as a ordinary A-road for trucks and hence 40mph limit.
Its one of the few bits of road setup like that over there and that pole camera catches lot of trucks like that. Oh there is a centre reservation on other parts of same road but not by camera hmmmmm.
I was only over there for 2 and a half years, saw loads of serious crashes, cars doing 70mph in fog equals disaster... and the foreign trucks doing same...

Last ticket for speeding on a motorcycle was in 1959! ... (I know that speed kills, the government told me!)
Have had two or three camera tickets in cars and one recently exceeding 50 where I thought it was seventy! (in car)
Wasted money that you can never ever recover, no matter what! :kick:

There's no excuse for poor driving ya hooligan. Aye, driving can get a bit mad at those speeds, but given the amount of traffic on the roads it could be worse and I believe that they have upped the speed to 80 because the economy will benefit

2 tickets in the car only, and from from a while ago, I don't forsee any on the road bike. Both by cop cars.
1st ticket 2001: 120kmph between Palmerston North and Waiouru returning from a day of go kart racing and wasn't looking at the speedo as it seemed slower driving 'higher up'
2nd ticket 2003: 140kmph travelling from Thames to Taupo for an Army diving course and I didn't want to be late. Funny thing was that it was early morning with no other traffic and the fine/demerits were a lot less of a punishment than if I dared show up late... which because I was speeding meant I was on time. Bonus points for slowing down in time to avoid losing my license
Both cases were my own fault, and I accepted the consequences of my actions, but pretty unneccessary considering that both days were dry and sunny with excellent visibility, and I was caught on looooooooooooong flat, open, straight roads in rural areas with no other vehicles and where no other person was at risk. Both of the cops were nice enough about it, no extra grief. 2nd one actually showed me his radar setup inside the cop car and also said he would've just flashed his headlights at me if I was only travelling at 120kmph or less...
Speed cameras on the other hand... I'm sure I've sped past heaps and they've just finished for the day or something has gone wrong and they didn't catch me. The Brynderwyns caught me out big time the first time I travelled up there Northbound after they had lowered the speed limit to 80kmph, I was still going 100 as I finished passing cars on the passing lane and the speed camera at the crest - never had any tickets in the mail though

So many options on a poll, and still not one that I can tick, only ever had 2 speed camera fines.
First one for 11 over the limit when I missed a change from 60 to 50, and the one that really pissed me off for 11 over the limit downhill about 100m before a 100k sign, that falls into the revenue gathering category in my opinion.
All things considered, I've been pretty lucky really.

...i must have just been lucky, in forty plus years of bikes, cars and trucks, I have had fuck all hassle with the law, which is surprising..no way does it relate to my bad behaviour or hooliganism in most of those years...

Last speeding ticket on a bike was in 1975...
Had a few camera incidents in the wagon though. Mostly in urban areas.

had 4 cars before a learners license. considering the number of hours/km i've done drunk, stoned, speeding, or being a dick (which is the most dangerous of the lot) i havent been ticketed nearly enough.
that said. peaked at about 8k$ with the courts. then i learned they were all jew cunts and that telling cops to fuckoff BEFORE they start writing is actually rather effective.
and, for all that punitive shit, i still speed (religiously) drive drunk (not often impaired, though i had a fucking stonker last week 2 boxes, 2 doobies and spots in about 5 hours, drove the 50km home through town...) and drive after smoking cannabis, which doesn't fucking matter at all.
the number of crashes i've had under any of these conditions: 0. (total 5. 3 or 4 my fault. 0 injuries (luck rather than skill))
mmmm, statistics.

Yeah realised when typing it I was a bit scrambled with options there.
Just realised I voted wrong, forgot about another cop ticket.
So 3 cop tickets 1 camera.

1 cop, 2 camera. All in cars, in a 2-year period.
Cop - pulled me for driving too close to the car in front. He was right, although his facts weren't completely accurate. (They were close enough)
Coming down Bombay Hills, 95-100km/h, right hand lane, in left lane there was a ute & trailer followed by a Mitsubishi Galant. I'm about 10 feet back from the Galant when it pulls into the outside lane travelling a little slower than me. I back off, but the Galant doesn't accelerate and actually seems to slow down - probably coasting down the hill. I'm slowly dropping back (by now down to 90km/h and approaching the bottom of the hill) when the light show begins behind me. I see the Galant driver checking hair or make-up as I pull over.
I was very annoyed, but I could - and should - have braked to allow more space between me and the car in front. Even if the driver was a compete and utter <rant, rant, rant...>
Cop reckoned I was within 10' of the car in front and pointed out that at the speed we were travelling, I should have allowed 9 car lengths. Well, it was definitely more than 10', but it was also less than 9 car lengths so he was right about me being too close. No point arguing.
2 mobile speed cameras. Yup - I was driving faster than the posted limit. Not much faster, but enough to encourage someone to post me a letter. Getting pinched for 1-5km/h more than you can get away with (111km/h, 115km/h) on an empty dual carriageway doesn't just happen to me, as shown by other comments, and it is 10km/h+ more than the posted limit so there's no excuse. C'est la vie. <shrug>
I was covering upwards of 40000 miles a year in the UK and had one speeding ticket from a camera in 20 years. No other infringements of any sort.

I've speeded every day of my life got heaps of toilet paper too cause where I was the only things to do was drink or drive, if you choose the latter like I then the PIGs would harass you as it was their extortion training grounds; best part about this place, you didn't have to even do anything wrong to get some toilet paper they'd just make something up for you how nice of them right, even got arrested once (again for nothing, just trying to intimidate)

In 45 years of riding of course I've had a lot of tickets, and lost my license for a bunch of so called dangerous stuff. Last bike ticket was last year - a bit pissed off because I was under the speed limit up to and passing the camera car which I had seen a long way back. But had been doing 120kph before that, and 140 a bit earlier...I guess the radar picked me up earlier, and he did a manual ticket exceeding 100kph. I didn't contest as I had no rego at the time, took the lesser charge.

Mmmm, maybe I'm a goodie two shoes here, but in 30 years and 3 to 4 million clicks in anything from 2 wheels to 30 wheels on 3 continents...2 officer tickets and 2 camera fines.
