Yep, when you hit a fence! As proven by my 10-year-old coming out of a corner and misjudging the trail. Followed (too closely, it would seem) by his Mum.:laugh:

Not mine... so far....
But I did have a Yamaha TY50 years ago that yer could bump start backwards..
Yamaha RT360 could also if it back fired while kick starting them...

not that would suggest there are as many gear in reverse as there are forward like to see someone give that a go.

And for that matter, a two stroke will run equally efficiently in either direction, dependent on the ignition timing. :rolleyes:

What they said!...wouldnt have believed it possible if I hadn't seen & done it myself.
Mate & I managed to get a MT250 running backwards by accident (Kids at the time), we didnt even notice till he threw a leg over & chucked it into gear lol...was NOT the smoothest of first runs! :killingme (great wee slo-mo over the bars tho :clap:)
