FROSTY
10th September 2005, 15:15
Folks I've been lurking around various web sites for a few years now.
I've noticed a common theme. Idiots looking to troll for a reaction.
They post utter crap Totally unrelated to the subject or theme of the forum.
Having watched these morons at work ive noticed one thing about them all
The easiest and fastest way to make em go away is to IGNORE them
Let em rant and rave to themselves and they soon get sick of it and go away.
A word to the wise perhaps
Ohh and by this I don't mean our regular and ahem more colorfull members

Thanks Frosty. Seems like I tend to get carried away with them and it takes wise words like yours to put me back in my place mate. Thanks :niceone:

Well Frosty, I have only just begun and I came onto this forum by accident. I was just using an old computer I bought off my kids to find things about motorbikes and bike riders talk, etc. Bingo, I found this site. I felt I would not be welcome due to my age but thought I would try anyway. I am now feeling good about being here and think by not trying to remain too anonymous I have been accepted. I am still learning how to operate the forum etc but I really find it is interesting. The thing I like the most is that it allows me to mix with all ages and people of different backgrounds completely without prejudice. In other words I consider myself to be a Kiwi Biker now.
If I have hijacked your thread or "trolled" it at any time, it is because I didn't know any different. I will have to just continue to make mistakes and learn but I am going to stay. Cheers John. :ride: PS: What is a Troll?

Dunno why you would think that. Theres lots of other young fellas on here, you should fit right in.
Actually I am on a mission to find the oldest active motorcyclist in NZ - and I'm sure that no-one here qualifies.

They're all too young. Nobody over 90 as far as I know.
The bar is at 97 years old.
The oldest NZ motorcyclist I've heard of was some years ago . Aged 92. And a WOMAN - so suck that one up guys. Granted , it was a step thorugh, but two wheels and an engine qualifies.
Ain't any old people on this site - I reckon that riding bikes keeps you young.

Only sad thing was she out-lived all her kids.

Might even have been her. I never knew the details. Just someone told me about this old lady riding a scooter (I thought step through, but that could be classed as scooter) at 92. And a cut out picture of her in an open face helmet (might even have been a pudding basin) from a local rag. No name or anything but, just the headline.
I thought that was really cool, still riding at 92.
