Hey guys just joined a little while ago and have been trying to private message a couple of guys about bikes and gear for sale.
How much "site involvement" do you need before it will let you PM someone?

Have you read the FAQ? That is a GREAT way to find out about KB

I maybe able to shed a bit of light for you though...

How many is a couple?

How long is a little while?

You only want to sell shit on here?

Good luck with that :D

Used to be you had to be a member for five days / post count of five unless it's changed...

I can't actually find the restrictions in the FAQ. Possibly implemented and the FAQ not updated.

Essentially, it's an anti-spam measure, to stop spammers signing up then spamming members via PM. I think you need to have 5-10 posts that count before you may use private messaging. Bear in mind that not all areas of the forum count toward your post count (such as Rant or Rave).

Why don't you simply post in the person's thread about the sale, if it's available etc.

Should PMs have an apostrophe, just asking?

Or are you referring to Pre-Menstual?

I never used to be able to spell farma but now I are one!

No! Apostrophes have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with plurals. They either indicate possession (Brian's GSX-R1000) or contraction (you're nuts).
