When I was a young fella my Friday night loop use to be,

-Sawyer Motorcycles ( when they was on Taranaki st )
-Wgtn Motorcycles
-British Motorcycles & spares ( quickly pop into the Prince of Wales Tavern )
-Boyles Motorcycles

I would dream about the day of owning whatever was in the window then the following Friday do it all again.....

Our paths may have crossed as when I was a nipper, that was my loop too.
Prince of Wales was pretty good about serving underage punters too

I can remember my Father taking me there on numerous occasions when it was Lawton & Boyle in the 50,s. He used to race against was it Dick Lawton in the pre war days. Dad had a KSS Velocette bought in Wellington new in 1934. I still have the sister bike that was bought at the same time and raced by Morrie Proctor.

i did the night shift, got there not long after you left Pete and was there till pretty well the end, damn fine fun indeed.
Took the Warlord in as i was sure there'd be a couple of people with memories, it's still there in the window i'm told.

Bugger! I was surprised when I got there you weren't there! Pity I missed ya as I owe you a beer, and I would've loved to have seen the beast. May pop round and see if It's in the window.
