A great idea - ruined by the lamentable, over-regulated, namby-pamby nanny-state that Australia has become.

It's a parade. Over one of the region's best bike roads - that will be heavily speed limited and heavily enforced. The Police are not happy about the event.

Kiwis should rejoice in the freedoms that are accorded Paeroa, Wanganui and the like.

Aussies apparently need to be protected from themselves in regulations of cotton wool.

Yeah - my bitchin' isn't with the event.

It's with the way it's been constricted from what was originally floated as a 'TT style event'.

And the cultural difference between here and there.

KLR 650 following a GS 800. From the handlebars it sounds faster that it is. Although there is a DL1000 behind it. :-)
