:devil2: Just some pics from the waipawa bucket racing today.
Was a pretty good day out, Gn1nitestnd has her 1st aperance on the pocket bike, gettn real good real fast!
Due to tightening of the rules, i wasnt allowed to race in the licenced class and had to play dodge the novice. No worries though. It was clear for all to see that the Hilbilly Deluxe (my bike) was by far the fastest on the track. The licenced riders all agreed i would have thrashed them.
Got a few pics of the speights_bud A100. Im real impressed with how his riding has progressed over the last few months. Youre gonna make a great rider!
The only real dark cloud is... while my mate was thrashing the deluxe round, it cut out. Apon investigation, we have burnt out the alternator coil windings. Bugger. Oh well will have it ready for next month no doubt :devil2:

Well done to everyone out there. Especially the young 13 year old they let back on the track!

PS: Roger and I have recovered from our HUGE pit shouting match, back to bein friends again

More pics to come, this stuff takes a while. Anyone else that was there feel free to post more pics and comments :ride:

Let me guess, it went:

"You don't have a licence, sorry mate, you can't race."

"You cunts are just scared the new bike'll kick your arse!"

"Don't be like that, the rules are the rules"

"Well fuck you and your shitty bucket, I'm going to start my own race series!"

"Good! Fuck off, your bike's a heap of shit anyway!"

Heh heh, seen a few like that myself.

Cheers Dan,
Yea it was a bugger the deluxe cooked itself, be interesting to know what modified parts in particular caused it?
As for the young guy out there, he's got some Vnice lines, lucky i don't got a licence coz he probably woulda beaten me!

As for the rest of the day i was pretty happy with how it went. Getting to know most of the guys there now so it's making things more enjoyable. getting out there on the track was great fun knowing that my short hours of sleep for the last week weren't wasted. starting to sort out some better strategies and lines for the track now.
Will try and upload some decent-ish photo's. I think we were all going a bit fast for mother-of-speights_bud, plenty of half front wheel and rear wheel shots :Punk:.
All in all a good day out, looking forward to next month.

HUH??? dodging the novice's?? i dodn't see no deluxe dodging past me. Come to think of it i don't recall the deluxe finishing an entire race, or did it?
Sorry couldn't resist. :devil2:

i only did 1 race. gave myslef a 50m handicap. still passed you all by 1st corner. then started lappn the slow guys. The reason the windings burnt out is the motor revs much higher now. that was pulling too many amps through the windings wires. so, like a fuse, they burnt out.

deluxe finished every race! we had always won a lap ahead of you guys so pulled off. ie, we get checkured while the rest of pack gets white. the deluxe died pulling into pits on last race

You have to admit... the deluxe was friggn flyin!

Ok whatever you say, Can't say i ever remembered being passed by anyone throughout the day, but i did miss the first race due to technical difficuilty's.
But i do recall seeing the deluxe not far behind me while glancing across on the back hairpin.

 Youre not really trying to sujest that you and the a100 beat me or alistsair are you?????????

If you were at front of the pack, i would have only passed you heading into 1st corner. when you saw me behind you, i would have been coming up to lap you :devil2:

Used to calln it my bike on account of the zillions of hours and $$$ i have spent on it while youre ass was growin some more while planted to ur couch!
Yes it is the team bike, but dnt mention particular amounts of $$ spent, as what you spent forkn out for the base of the engine is very little compared to what has been spent to get it to this stage... And lets not forget the lobour factor... lazy cunt :motu:

And cheers to froggy for lettn me have my first taste of riding a pocket. But i thing ill stick to mt bucket and leave the powerful pockets to someone that can really ride. ie Gn1nitestnd. Im being serious here guys, pockets are soo fast! honestly dont think i could race 1 without getting hurt! Stickn with my slow old bucket

Thats what i thought you said

Ummm I was on the flags and it is true you gave the field a big head start. You rode well but the only bike you did not pass was the A100. You were about to when the checked flag came out. The flag was for the A 100.
When do you think you passed the speights_bud?
Your bike is quick and would win most of the races at Waipawa but you did not pass the 100, in the race you speak of. Had the race run another lap you probably would have as you were only a bike length behind as you passed the line.
With this in mind how about we start recording the race results for a few months? We will need more help from the riders to make sure this sort of problem does not occur. Do you recon the people not riding in the current race would be happy to record the first three placing? We would have to ask all bikes to put numbers on to help.

If you had passed everyone within the first corner wouldn't you have lapped them every lap? How many laps, in your opinion, were you up on the field by the end of the race?

It was put foward at the club meeting last night that we can start recording places and giving points. Although we cant do that without every rider being both a club member and holding either a mnz or club race licence, including the pockets. The costs involved are quite high, but if we are to continue to race down there the club has to have its cover its ass. Anywho, im sure all will be explained next month.

As for the race last meet, theres a good chance we are talking bout diferent races.. as i only did one. The idea of takn the bike last week was for alistair to get the hang of it. No matter what, i dont mean any hard feelings to speights or anyone else. Guess we are both preaching what we beleive.

As the flag man, im sure you got a few good laugh bout my bike goin round the right hander... will lift that exhaust i thing

we are all supposed to have number boards anyway. The club is gettn real tough! The club licence will be $50, most club members could help with this. Not needed for next meet....

Thanks for the info. Yep motor sport, even at this level costs. However I understand the club must protect it's self and good to hear these matters are raised at the meeting. Lets see what happens. See you next month. Yep the can did a bit of dragging. Was tempted to put a long pipe on it and bend it up cos it must have been preventing Alistair's lean. He rides well.
