Trip: Hamilton - Palmerston North

Hey Guys, it's been a little while since I've been around here, been busy busy,
But I've taken Friday and Monday off work to travel from Hamilton to Palmerston on my brothers Motorbike. A Hyosung ST7,
Taking to long way around (aka the scenic route :niceone:)
via: New Plymouth, around Mt Taranaki, through to Hawera/Whanganui etc.

Should be a great ride and hopefully the weather stays pretty good :)
Any hints or tips about the route?? I've done plenty of long distance before, travelled to Palmy a number of times, a couple on the motorbike :)

did parts of that route (the other way around) a few weeks ago. Raetihi to Whanganui by the Paraparas, around the coast road to New Plymouth. Next day went by Stratford and Forgotten World Highway to Taumaranui.

Loved it, nice mix of main SH to just cruise on and easy twisties for some fun. Enjoy the ride.

If you can, try the FWH.
