Looking at a 400 or 500. These single seats are pretty rare yea? Anywhere to get em, or would it be cheaper to make one from a dual seat base?

It would be worth trying Econohonda - they may have them.
Otherwise you'd need to keep your eye on trademe or eBay (but they are as rare as hen's teeth).

Pretty rare is one way of explaining availability, hens teeth another and maybe rocking horse poo,I would say fuckin impossible would be closer to the truth--best chance is to buy a GB with the single seat already on it,swap over the dual seat and resell the bike.

i brought a single seat cover and chopped 50mm out of the seat plastic welded it back together
and got it recovered with the shape of the single seat cost $60 for the cover from a guy who sells them on trade me
and $90 for all the other work best past is I did not have to get the single foot peg arms as the seat is foam so a passenger can sit on it but I have a spare double that I bolt on for that
other wise I would have failed the WOF for having extra foot pegs

Hey ICE180. I am going to do the same thing as what you did, but I am unsure where to cut the 50mm out of the seat. Do you have any pics by chance?
