Two hour is next month.
Any interest in a mixed doubles or sidecar endurance race on the Saturday?
Two hour and B grade 40 lapper will be Sunday as usual.
Start trying to rope in your ring ins.

Yep we will be good for an endurance race, I was thinking 30 laps... What will give out first the rigs or the crews will be hard to call.
Henk
12th October 2014, 06:40
Will poll the players today.
If it is going to be two rigs it hardly seems worth the effort. Also not sure how keen those doing the two hour Sunday will be, she's a big weekend as it is.

This is the 22nd and 23rd November huh?
I see today that Tim and Nathaniel are partnering up for the race, jesus this is going to be a hard one!
November is going to be a blinder too with PMCC R1, AMCC bucket 2 hour, AMCC R2 and R3. Booyah
EDIT: I take it back, looks like PMCC summer series planning got scrapped. That's a shame, I want to ride at Taupo more!

Pfft. Bus tickets? Living is such a modern technological age such a thing I am sure no longer exists. Prob a fancy electronic card thingies, I dont know who the hell catches the bus? And I have never been a fan of chewing gum.
No Rick, if I am going to do this I am going to do it right. Now where did I put my cable ties and duct tape................
Henk

Modern equivalent of bus ticket spitballs is a melted down AT hop card or the equivalent, grab a random lump of plastic out of the wife's purse and a ciggy lighter and you are good to go.

Not sure but it doesn't look like anyone is going to front for the sidecar endurance... I will if any one else does but if no one shows can we still run Saturday like a normal practice day? I have a bit of experimenting to do with some bits and bobs and need a decent run to get it done.

We're going to have a crack at the endurance race on Saturday. I let Aida know yesterday at HD. We won't bother but will probably lend our rig to someone else.

Worked till 3 in the morning but the bike is almost ready :)
Just need to get the shock back from Robert Taylor and maybe one more dyno run if TZ has time
Repaired all the crash damage, wear and tear and made a few changes to make it a bit more comfortable for a long ride.
First time in 3 years I will be here for it.
I cant wait. Fuck Yeah :devil2:

But had to go to the dentist last week. That sort of fucked the race budget:bye:

Can we run anticlockwise?

Hi guys sorry to sound a bit of a prick but if I read it right ( and correct me if I'm wrong) but going off the run down I will looking at $60 plus Koba at $30 for a total of $90 for a half hour run... Sounds a bit steep, especially considering the two wheelers actually get the track basically for the day. Line I said let me know if I got it wrong...

Yep looks right, the $30 bucks for Koba shouldn't be counted as he would be paying that for the two hour anyway so the Saturday is basically free.
So $60, would you consider it expensive at $30 if you had shelled out the $100 for an MNZ licence and the $300 for a transponder like a lot of us have? Because I consider it Cheap.

as Henk menitoned you won't need to pay for Koba. Just $30 for the rig and $20 for a day licence. Same as a normal meeting, difference is you get one long race instead of three smaller ones.

Cool, well you guys enjoy your day.
It would be a shame if you don't make it, the track cost and other over heads have gone up in price but we have lowered our prices, this means we will be lucky to break even this weekend because of Trophy costs, Bucket racing is always going to be the best bang for your buck racing you can get !
Please support this once a year endurance weekend, it would be a shame after lots of work to incorporate Sidcars that we could loose them due to lack of numbers .

Good effort Tim. Congrats both of you.
Thanks Dave. Luckily for me, Nathanael did his usual sterling work in the middle hour, because I was completely knackered in my last half-hour session. The riding position on the RS125 chassis really doesn't agree with me. But no one passed me in either of my sessions either so I feel like I did my share. And considering that I started the race on stone cold tyres without a single warm-up lap, I don't think that was a bad result.
I'm sure that Nathanael would have qualified a lot better, if his tyres had been warmed up a bit prior to his Superpole attempt. I should have gone out first, but it never occurred to me, so when he fell off in the Superpole, I had to qualify us. That was why we were over a second down on Jaden's time. But I was absolutely stoked to qualify in second.
Nathanael was running consistently low 29s in traffic in the last 10 minutes of his 1-hour session. If there is anyone who can knock him off his perch as the current Maestro of Mt Welly, he (or she) has yet to prove it.

Grazie mille! At the tender age of 52, I don't think I would have got too many more (or any better) opportunities to get my name on the 2-hour trophy. Rick and I missed out on it once by a few seconds and another year I miscalculated the fuel we needed and Gary and I missed out on a possible win.
But there's no doubt that the brilliant Hassans on the Superbucket are a combination that will be VERY hard to beat if they can just get to the end of the race.
And on behalf of the organising committee, you're most welcome. It takes quite a few people to get an event like this right and the whole committee and their spouses/partners contributed. I've no idea how John Connor and Wendy used to manage. But I'd like to aim special thanks at Cully for being the man on the spot. It's a big responsibility in this day and age.
