You were right about the saddle.

Monster truck lo-rider.

The MTB to comfort bike conversion is just about complete. Turns out it's excellent for 'urban endurocross' / small air.

(AND For the inevitable moaners about treadlies. I've cycled off 18kg so far on bikes that I enjoyed building and riding. I've definitely improved my stand up riding skillez for motorbikes too.)

Cool!

I actually really like working on pushbikes because they are fairly simple machines. I don't build wheels though - its something you have to do a lot of to get good at.

I have just been unsuccessfully trying to sell some bike stuff but no one wants it. So I am going to start riding again.

I'll pop up a picture of my cruiser fleet later.

Awesome, Mr BigDave!:2thumbsup

Not that I was fat, but I lost 13.5 kg by doing nothing (well... to be precise, I stopped taking my prescription anti-mentalness tablets.) Now I'm the same weight I was about 30 years ago. Keep fit by light exercise every morning, and walking The Fluffies.:woohoo:

It's like motorcycles. You get the right tool for the job. Hard tyres, ergos, bars.

I bought the mountain bike when I lived half way up the hill on Abbotts Way and did dirt laps of the Waiatarua reserve with the dog.

Here in Brisbane I'm in the burbs and it's all pavement. So I converted it to a gutter jumper and use the cruiser to run the dog and burn kj.
