The ex had a half fairing 400ss and it was a nice ride.
Be a great learners bike but would want to be someone that wanted to look after it not a user/abuser. I don't think it would respond very well to neglect.

yes this is a bike that needs looking after ,,would love to keep it but me shed has no room as upgraded to a monster :(

I talked my Partner into buying one from down in Chch, i got to ride it home. What a surprise, handles impeccably and you only notice it's a 400 when you get to a hill and that pesky 998 starts getting away... Bit of local knowledge soon fixed his wagon though:woohoo:

I think the weight prohibits first time learners getting to grips with them, but once you get your head around it i don't think you could do better for your L plate. Then there's the noise on the over-run, awesome!
