Huge thanks to Doug and the family who came to my rescue on Sunday afternoon.

On my way home from Greytown after visiting me old dad in his new resthome, the bike stalled at the railway crossing in Featherston and then refused to start again. Everytime I put it into neutral and hit the start button it just died.

I was stuffed, so I sat on the side of the road to ponder how the hell I was going to get me and the bike back to Wellington. Then up wandered Doug and the boys to see if I needed a hand!

Doug wheeled my bike up the road to his truck with attached trailer full of tools and a bucket racer (how lucky am I to be helped out by a family with a mobile workshop).

Bike was fixed in a jiffy (loose wire/conection thingy) and I was on my way. :ride:

Just want to say thanks again.

If anyone knows these guys please pass on my thanks.

Good to hear that the boys were there to give you a hand. The 'Estrella', I take is a 250cc version of the WR650?

Saw one a couple of weeks ago in Petone and had to do a double take to see what it was. Nice looking bike.

:Punk: It was a pleasure to stop and help a fellow motorcyclist. I still wave to all bikes (even Harleys). Check out the buckets sometime, theres a lot of young talent coming through. Motorcycling (racing included) is growing stronger in NZ. This is an excellent site for motorcyclist to communicate, keep it up.
