Ive just bought a zxr400 with 30000kms and am in the process of doing the valve clearance adjustment. Is there anything else I should do or check while ive got access to the head? Ill check the spark plugs and probably compression but im just wondering if theres anything else worth doing while im at it
Cheers

Cam chain and tensioner...
You might not get great compression as I'm guessing its got a few years on it so it could be worth pulling the head / block and doing rings and cleaning up the head.
Going to cost a bit mind...

Ill probably do that later on its running pretty good atm. Whats the best way to turn the engine over by hand to find tdc on these things? Also do you know a good place to get oem parts from like seals, air filters, shims etc?

If it was sold new in the USA then that's going to be the best place... If there is a user / rider forum that's the place to ask.
If the motors in the frame, take the plugs out, put it in gear and turn the back wheel. Or pop off a engine cover and see if there is a handy dandy nut...
