It was a great day at Hampton Downs on Sat. A motorcyclist's dream with beautifully presented classics from the 1930's to the pre-'89s.

I was chuffed to see the number of bikes using the Shorai batteries and to receive so many favorable comments from name riders and team mechanics about their power, weight and reliability both in charged and total loss electrical systems.

Cruising the pits it seems that most people had at least heard of the batteries and everyone was keenly interested in the technology.

It looks as though Shorai are becoming "the battery to have " in racing and the Aussies were interested so I gave them the Australian distributor 's details.

Sales are up 150% on same period last year and up 100% in the last period. My October import was 4 x Sept. and I have had to put November's order in early.

Now with around 150 dealers in the country we're on the roll. Four years of hard work is paying off.

I remember my dads old FZR750 had a Shorai fitted back in 1988. Made his bike 14s' per lap faster! True story.

...the only cheats in NZ motorcycle racing are those joe public punters trying to get into events for free...true...i heard that from the top...once someone used some springy bits that were not quite right, I hear, but no one ever found out...oh, hang on, I'll just check on that...

...checked that, I was correct...nobody cheats...

It's one of very few parts on our sidecar, we've not had problems with...bloody thing is getting another shit ton of steel cut out and redesigned.

Got a battery grunty enough to power our welder Ed?

It looks as though Shorai are becoming "the battery to have "

And the Romans thought leaching was "the thing to have" when a citizen had a belly ache.
Just sell ya batteries, and stop inflating your ego ya mug.
