Do all the same rules for modifications for cars apply to bikes? I don't see why they wouldn't, but you know, live in hope and all that.
Original ali frame and engine with replaced swingarm and front forks, which would also mean different brakes (from double front to single, and probably different diameter) and rims.
Am I correct in thinking the brakes and larger rim sizes would technically/possibly need a cert but the suspension wouldn't if it is the same type of setup?

Probly.
Technically requiring it doesn't mean you actually have top get one though.

brakes need brake cert.
or just take it to vtnz, i've yet to meet one of them that knows much about bikes except that they have approximately half the number of wheels as a car.

About right, they didnt pick up on the Busa calipers on the original TL forks nor the later change to GSXR forks etc.

If it's all a tidy and standard looking swap, as yours is, bugger all people will know :niceone:
There are a few bike savvy guys in VTNZ stations, so if it's very non-standard looking I would be careful. If it's an uncommon bike then you'll probably be fine.
Just hope your insurance assessor knows fuck all about bikes :bleh:
