Hi im trying to sell my KLX650R as have just lost my licence but i have no idea what to ask for it as there are no road legal ones on trademe.

details.
is a 1998 KLX650R kickstart only,
68,800kms wof till next month reg on hold since it ran out 3 weeks ago.
Done in last 7000kms
Wosnner forged piston
new cam chains,manual cam chain tensioner,
all new gaskets and seals
DynoJet stage 2 kit
GPR muffler with removable baffle
aftermarket adjustable YSS rear shock,
upgraded front brakes to 320mm floating disc, new pads/braided line
2014 KX450f front fender, KLX300 rear,
Polisport enduro tail kit
Black excel takasago rims
Acerbis 17L tank, new handlebars, Barkbusters canvas and plastic ones
Re upholstered seat, Brand new chain and 49t rear sprocket fitted at 68,800 kms

comes with factory fenders, seat, tank, exhaust,
has a second shorter chain to fit extra 46,43,38 tooth sprockets

Sounds like you spend a bit of money on it....
you probably wont get all of that back.
its worth what somebody wants to pay on the day,
list bike for a price that seems fair to you and see what sort if reactions you get

yeaaaa but where in between XD

The higher side. You can only sell it once. If it's too high/no interest just drop the price till there is.
Bit harder if you're wanting a quick sale though.

4 grand ish? Chuck it on trade me $3000 start price $3500 reserve and $4500 buy now.

I just sold my Freewind via TM, luckily only 2nd time listed. Different style & not as trick as the KLX but I promoted it as an adv bike & got my $3500 reserve / Buy Now price.
Note that eventual buyer didn't see my first listing, so be patient.
