We've had a couple of Karting nights in the past and theyve been good fun
The next one will be on october the 12th at Auckland raceway which is at the end of The Concourse in henderson.
Start time will be 7.30pm
Ive been informed there will be a format change -2x 15 lap races followed by a 20 lap race -10 karts per race.
if we get between 16 and 20 entering there will be 2 lots of racing with a break between races.
Cost will be $45 per driver

Always wanted to have a go on those. They reckon to top out at over 200kph. I'd be a starter for that for sure.

somewhere in bettween---they are speed restricted to 50km/h but because everyone has the same top speed it makes for close fun racing.
the track isnt one ya just go out and go fast on either --it takesa bit of figuring out--read that as half an hour for most--3 years for me

I did it - came last.:headbang: Crashed in the first corner of the first lap of the first race, crashed into SP in the first corner of the second race. Bloody cart went dead and had to change carts in the third race.

Crashed about a dozen times in between, got pushed out of the way another dozen...... and held up everyone:devil2:

Got called a menace too. Hehehehe - not bad for my first time in a kart. :whistle:

cheers bro, i was fairly nervous waiting at the back of the grid for 5 minutes before the first race, wasn't sure if i would still have the confidence to put my body on the line and go as hard as i can. soon got over that though. great night, i got a chocolate car, auckland raceway cap and a kart seat imprint on my back. i duely went to the pub after for nice cold :drinkup:

The good thing about carting is that it aint your problem if you screw up the go cart, and also its 99%(ish) equal so it all comes down to skill!
